Ingredients

500g beef sirloin, thinly sliced

3 tablespoons oyster sauce

2 tablespoons soy sauce

1 tablespoon cornstarch

2 tablespoons vegetable oil

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 small onion, thinly sliced

1 red bell pepper, sliced

1 cup snap peas

1 tablespoon ginger, minced

1 tablespoon rice wine (optional)

Salt and pepper to taste

Green onions, chopped (for garnish)

Sesame seeds (for garnish)

Instructions

Marinate the Beef: In a bowl, combine the beef slices with oyster sauce, soy sauce, cornstarch, and rice wine. Mix well and let it marinate for at least 30 minutes in the refrigerator.

Prepare Vegetables: While the beef marinates, prepare the vegetables by slicing the onion, red bell pepper, and mincing the garlic and ginger.

Cook Beef: Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the marinated beef in a single layer (you may need to do this in batches). Sear for about 2-3 minutes until browned, then remove and set aside.

Sauté Aromatics: In the same skillet, add the remaining oil. Toss in the minced garlic and ginger, sautéing for about 30 seconds until fragrant.

Add Vegetables: Next, add the sliced onion and red bell pepper, sauté for another 2-3 minutes until they start to soften. Then toss in the snap peas and cook for an additional minute.

Combine Ingredients: Return the seared beef to the skillet, mixing everything together. Cook for another 2-3 minutes, allowing the beef to absorb the flavors.

Season & Serve: Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper to taste. Remove from heat, transfer to a serving platter, and garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds.
