Ingredients

1 pound ground beef (or turkey)

2 teaspoons taco seasoning

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese

1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough

1/2 cup diced tomatoes

1/4 cup sliced black olives (optional)

1/4 cup chopped green onions

1 egg (beaten, for egg wash)

Salsa and sour cream (for serving)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Cook the Meat: In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked. Drain any excess fat. Add taco seasoning and cook according to the package instructions.

Add Cheese and Veggies: Once the meat is seasoned, remove from heat and stir in half of the cheddar and Monterey Jack cheese, diced tomatoes, black olives (if using), and green onions. Mix until well combined.

Prepare Crescent Dough: Open the crescent roll dough and unroll it flat on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Pinch the seams together to create one large rectangle.

Fill the Dough: Spoon the cheesy taco mixture evenly over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges.

Roll and Slice: Starting from one end, carefully roll the dough over the filling to create a log. If desired, press down on the seams to seal. Once rolled, slice into 1-inch thick pieces.

Egg Wash: Place the taco sticks on the baking sheet, brush the tops with the beaten egg for a golden finish.

Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown and the cheese is melted.

Serve: Remove from the oven and let them cool slightly. Serve warm with salsa and sour cream for dipping.
