Ingredients

1 package of refrigerated crescent roll dough (8 rolls)

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1 cup sliced pepperoni

1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning

1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, for spice)

1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

Marinara sauce, for dipping (optional)

Fresh basil leaves, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.

Prepare the Dough: Open the package of crescent roll dough and carefully unroll each triangle. Lay them out on the prepared baking sheet.

Add Fillings: Sprinkle a generous amount of shredded mozzarella cheese on each triangle, then layer on 3-4 slices of pepperoni. Sprinkle Italian seasoning, garlic powder, and red pepper flakes over the fillings for an extra kick.

Roll it Up: Starting from the wider end of the triangle, carefully roll the dough towards the pointed end, enclosing the cheese and pepperoni.

Egg Wash: Once all the rolls are shaped, brush the tops with the beaten egg to give them a beautiful golden color while baking.

Bake the Rolls: Place in the preheated oven and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the croissant rolls are golden brown and puffed up.

Serve: Remove from the oven, let cool slightly, and garnish with fresh basil leaves if desired. Serve warm with marinara sauce on the side for dipping.

Prep Time: 10 minutes | Total Time: 25 minutes | Servings: 8 rolls
