Ingredients

1 lb ground chicken

1 cup fresh spinach, finely chopped

1/2 cup white cheddar cheese, shredded

1/4 cup breadcrumbs

1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 clove garlic, minced

1 small onion, finely diced

1 teaspoon Dijon mustard

1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

Burger buns

Lettuce and tomato slices for serving

Olive oil for cooking

Instructions

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground chicken, chopped spinach, shredded white cheddar, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, minced garlic, diced onion, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using). Mix until all ingredients are well incorporated but do not overmix.

Divide the mixture into four equal portions and shape each portion into a patty that is slightly larger than your burger buns.

Heat a drizzle of olive oil in a non-stick skillet or grill pan over medium heat. Once hot, add the chicken patties to the skillet.

Cook the patties for about 5-6 minutes on each side or until they reach an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C) and are golden brown on the outside.

If desired, place a slice of white cheddar on each patty during the last minute of cooking, allowing it to melt slightly.

Toast the burger buns while the patties are finishing up.

Assemble the burgers by placing a cooked chicken patty on the bottom half of each bun, topping it with lettuce and tomato slices, then placing the bun top over it.

Serve immediately with your favorite sides like sweet potato fries or a fresh salad.
