Ingredients

1 pound ground chicken

1 cup fresh spinach, chopped

1/2 cup white cheddar cheese, shredded

1/4 cup bread crumbs

1 egg, beaten

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1/2 teaspoon paprika

2 tablespoons olive oil

Burger buns, for serving

Optional toppings: slices of tomato, lettuce, avocado, or aioli

Instructions

Prepare the Mixture: In a large bowl, combine the ground chicken, chopped spinach, shredded white cheddar cheese, bread crumbs, beaten egg, minced garlic, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and paprika. Mix until well combined, but do not overmix to keep the burgers tender.

Form Patties: Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape them into patties approximately 1/2 inch thick.

Preheat the Grill/Pan: Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat or preheat your grill to medium-high.

Cook the Patties: Add the chicken patties to the skillet or grill. Cook for about 6-7 minutes on each side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C) and the patties are golden brown and cooked through.

Assemble the Burgers: Toast the burger buns lightly if desired. Place each cooked patty on the bottom half of a bun. Add your choice of toppings such as slices of tomato, lettuce, avocado, or a smear of aioli. Top with the other half of the bun.

Serve: Enjoy your delicious White Cheddar and Spinach Chicken Burgers hot with a side of sweet potato fries or a fresh salad.
