Ingredients

1 lb ground chicken

1 cup fresh spinach, chopped

1 cup white cheddar cheese, shredded

2 cloves garlic, minced

1/2 teaspoon onion powder

1/2 teaspoon paprika

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

1/4 teaspoon salt

1 tablespoon olive oil

4 whole wheat burger buns

Lettuce leaves, for serving

Tomato slices, for serving

Avocado, sliced (optional)

Instructions

Prepare the Mixture: In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground chicken, chopped spinach, shredded white cheddar, minced garlic, onion powder, paprika, black pepper, and salt. Mix until all ingredients are thoroughly incorporated.

Form the Patties: Divide the mixture into four equal parts and form each into a patty, pressing gently to ensure they hold together.

Heat the Pan: In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Once hot, carefully add the chicken patties.

Cook the Patties: Cook the patties for about 5-6 minutes on each side, or until they are cooked through and reach an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C). They should be golden brown on the outside.

Assemble the Burgers: Once cooked, remove the patties from the skillet. Toast the whole wheat burger buns lightly in the same pan if desired. On the bottom half of each bun, place a lettuce leaf, followed by a cooked chicken patty, and top with tomato slices. Add avocado slices if using, and cover with the top half of the bun.

Serve: Enjoy your White Cheddar and Spinach Chicken Burgers hot, paired with a side of sweet potato fries or your favorite salad!
